Half way there!

As the great American Poet Jon Bon Jovi once said in regard to visiting every Township in Union County, we’re halfway there!

Claibourne Township Trustees meeting last night. Really valuable evening. Grateful to meet the Claibourne Township team and hear their priorities firsthand.

County Auditor Andrea Weaver briefed the trustees on new property tax laws passed by the State and what that means for township revenue this year. This kind of information matters—state decisions directly impact what local governments can do, and understanding those connections is critical for anyone who wants to serve at the county level.

Great discussion on roads and cemetery maintenance (I had no idea there was a mausoleum there) —the kind of unglamorous but essential work that townships handle every day. These trustees take their responsibilities seriously, and it shows.

Every township in Union County has unique challenges and concerns. The best way to understand them is to show up and listen.
